Special meeting of the Wrfax Town Ccu7cil wzs held Wednesday February 16, 1972
Mayor Austin presiding. All Councilmen present.
Purpose of 06 mmeting was to hear a proposal from the Veterans Public Safety
department for police protection of the town of Fairfax.
Capt. Leonard Femble, public relations an for the Unit outlined their
services and charges in detail. TO main Qints Caere; $3.00 per hour, INQtV

IRtier received from Ely Centenial committee inviting these in the area who are in
inquiry made by the local Boy scout unit to hold twice montbly meetings in
the Town Fall. Councilmen Shakespnare offired to investig:te and alternate
nmeting place for them and report backto council.
Motion to accept a new garbage contract with Bill Hall effective April 1, 1972
made by Donald Austin 2nd Ronald Stall man Carried
Motion to approve payment of the yearly dues of $25R,50 to,the Linn County
Reginal Planning board made by U,Shakespeare 2nd J Stallman 4 yes 1 no carried.
