mayor Austing presiding. Al I Councilmen present.
Minutes of previous meeting approved as mailed on motiom by H Shakespeaze
2nd R Stallman. Carried
Mayor reported that two members of the board of supervisors that she
socke with had promised to set up a meeting With town mayors Of linn
County to work something out on the police protection in regard to se vice
and charges,
Mayor Austin co acted the Par Mar Co a private i protection agency for
information on their service. They will check back. with the town on
this later this month.
Dan Shakespeare, Water Dept, repprted to Council, Ee reported that
all the hydrants Lad been flusbed. The Chlorinator is broken and that
we have been trying to get parts to fix it but with not mvch luck. Dan
ask that teas town buy some tools. Council inforoed him to get a list of
need items togeather for councils consideration and approval,
Mayor Austig reported that she had contracted Mr. Bennett, President of
Iowa Fund ani remiaded him of the amount luwa Fund is in the rears on
their sewer rent hue the town.
Ur Glenn Selzer and 10 Steve Selzer attended meeting to inquiry of the
council the possibility of extending the sanitary sewer to their
property on the west side of Highway 149. Council advised them that they
would take the matter unddr consideration. Clerk to contact Fall
Engineering and several sewer co actors for estimates oz price.
Agreement on sewer assessment fee's on Sohn Hurphy property Kgned in
1971 read to council. This agreement bas ho bearing on the fact that
Bill Qbneyi purchaser of the Ybrphy let, owes the tgon a
conn8etion fee,
On motion of D Austin 2nd G Stockton, Kirkwood College I is to be
given permission to use the town ball as a information center for 3
hours the last week in Marcb on the condition that the town clerk be there
at the time. Carried

Mr Kubasa's suggestions and ideas for council as follows: CoW tact County
for fill dirt and staft to bank and widen corner at Vanderbilt & Linn.
Street Committee to check this out,
Mr Kubasals is building Bins behind the old fire station for sand and
gravel storage. Good deal of brush and timberin lagoon and quarry area
burned. Needs equipment to move rest & material to central area for disposal
Sander attachment for town track is available Eor $25.00.
Council ask that Milo keep a cheek on street area on Vanderbilt and N W tracks
and sand when icy.
Contracf from Aterans Protective Association reveived for councils consideration.
