Speiial meeting of the Fairfax Town Council was Old August K, 1272

Jahn Zamastil sworn in as cooncilman, to fill vacancy occurring
when Mr Shakespeare was named mayor to repiace Mrs Austin, whe resigned.
fir Scott Mcleod present at meeting to introduce himself to the council
and inform the council as to his qualifications for the appointment
as town attorney, Mcleod is a manher of the law firm Rx Q
Lynch, Dallas , Smith—& Harmon in Cedar Rapids , lows
Or motion of, Gard; Stockton, 2nd by Ronald tall an that McLeOV
be appointed as town attorney on an hourly basis. Carried

Applications for dance license's Xeceived frees. Sam's lounge and the
American legion. Motion to grynt license We by James Stallman
2nd Gary Stockton. Carried,

to pay C R Gazette bill :der publishing town budget, 4 Tyals I Nay

$200.00 to be appropriated Dram Uquer Profit and Recreatior Funds
for the Fairfax Library for the remainder of 1972, This was approved
on a motion by James Stall mar 2nd Cary Stockton. Carried
Motion by R Staldiman 2nd John. Z-amastil, Claudia Eickey approved
to fill the vacancy a the librery Ward. Carried, Ber term will
expire in 1978.
