Minutes of previous meeting xxxdx"d approved, Treasurers report showed balance of 37k 201$57 Don 'oau ngfrom the J. C's attended meeting- to get permission from council to erect some playground equipment on part of the ball park property, The J, Cgs are in the process of obtaining the equipment from 'St Patricks Church. They will repaint and install the equkipment. "C. 's ask that some type of culvert and walkways from Tian Street into that area of the ball park be made. Council gave full approval to their plan. Raymond Lannon appeared at Council meeting to apply for a liquor ftiEa-ZZxsz and beer permit, also Cig permit and dance permit for the tavern formerly known as the Golden Shield. He will be chaning the name to the Golden Nugget Lounge. After an interview with the new owner A Motion for approval upon completion of all paaerworl- Trade by James Stallman 2nd Gary Stockton,. Roll call vote 5 Yea"s 0 Nay's, Roy Walters from Prairie Road builders attended meeting in regard to read work to be done. On Motion of Gary Stockton 2nd 9 Stallman the Mayor and Clerk to enter into agreement with Prairie Road Builders -to do street work this slimmer per agreement presented at meeting* Amount of work to be determined at a later date. Council gave Milo Kubasa permission to acquire a dozer and operator to do some grading work on the new lagoon road at $25.00 per hour. Steve Selzer J. C. 's president askthat if council had any projects that they 9xx2Zts would like to have the J Cgs to under take to notify them. Discussion held on lost parts from colt industries(Fairbanks orse3 Clerk to contact Mr ZcLeod town attorney to see what kind of a settleTntn would be reached with.them in regard to this matter, Resolution Dreserted by council that it deemed necessary to purchase a new fire truck., Oil Motion of R Stallman 2nd J Stallman Council direct clerk to amend current budge to appropriate the Townsx of Fa';rfax Revenue Sharing funds to the Public Safety account for the purchase, of a fire truck., and further ordered by council to pay remaining sum of purchase from other available funds. Carried. 2nd Reading of Ord 19 read and approved on motion of J Zam,stil 2nd R Stallman Carried. Refund request received from Doris Thomspon on Cig permit and dance permit for the Golden Shield now closed. Motion to return of half year Cig permit and no refund on dance permit made by R Stallman 2nd J$ Zamasti-I Carried® Motion to pay bills pr rented by G Stockton 2nd i Stillman. Carried Clerk instructed to repost dog ordinance as numerous complaints have been received on dogs running loose. BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax, Iowa City Council deems it necessary to purcLase a new Fire Truck for the protection of the residents of Fairfax, Towa and their prperty, and that there is not presently sufficient one in the Public Safety Fund to effect such a purchase.
