To the laid ax Town Co-uroil:
The .laming and Zoning Connission have considered
the request by the Linn Street Corporation for rezoning
to multiple dw,elling- the area known ao Lot 6 - Murphy' s
Addition and unanimously recommend that the town
council approve this rezoning.
We have based our reoommardations on the fact that the
proposed apartmient building will be bu ilt following
Cedar Rapids zoning laws for apaTtnerts; the developers
will install a water line up the driveway connecting
to the town water main on Linn Street of sufficient
size together with a fire hydrant; the increased.
tax base this will bring to the towD; additional
business for the bark, store, service stations, etc . ;
and the need for apartment rentals .
