Purpose of meeting Fire Dept Grant and of hr matters: m.
Discussion held on possible grant for Fire Department. Fireman's suggested needs
to be considered in the grant are 2 Frequency Walk.ie Talkie at 410..25

The grant would be a Matching Funds grant under Title 4 of Rural Development Act
of 1972.
Motion to approve the filing of this grant made by Tames Stallman 2nd John Zamastil,
Carried,
Bill. from D Yanecek and R Carver for gas to and from Breda., Iowa in the delivery
and pickup of the new fire truck for repairs in the amounts of 26.85 and 17,70
approved on m ti.on of R Brecht 2nd R Stallman carried.
Liquor permit for Track Inn approved on motion of J Zamastil 2nd R Brecht, Ca.rri:ed.

Purpose of Meeting-, _Interview with Gwen Vitzthum9 Recrea.tion Intern, Linn County
Extension. Service and discussion with Ball Club,
Miss 'Vitzthum outlined the program whe will be presenting on Mort and Wed afternoons
from 1.30 to 3:30. This will be for elementary school age children. Spans,
Arts & Crafts Games Naturerneerinn' 'and Special events., ask that the town
make available any where from 100 to 150,00 for equipment to be used. She will
be assisted by two or possible 3 aids if the Manpower Grant comes about if not he
will be wanting some volunteer help.
Motion of dames Stallman Ind R Stallman to set ,aside from Revenue Sharing funds
the need Ounds between $100.00 and 150,00, Carried
Baseball club was represented by Ball Gibney, Donnie Murphy, Buck Burger and
Ralph Emanuel.
Discussion field on -the bleacher repairs, homerun fence,lights, additional diamond.
committee consisting of 2 council members, Jaynes Stal. lman, Gary Stockton,
2 ball club me bbes, R Burger, Ralph Emanuel and the 2 church trustees, C Selzer
and Ben .Stallman to coordinate all plazas for impro-vements and additions to the
ball field and surrounding area, They will meet -with: father Breitbach to work, out
an agreement with hint on the additional diamond. behi.ne the school and possibly
extension of lease on ball park.
The plans for the coming year by the ball club consist of a 'Tractor and mower
$650000 kloraerun Fence and installation $1,200.00 and Bleach repairs $150.00
In additionx to the usual budgeted amount council. will help with Approximately
$500.00 from revenue bharin.g money.
Clerk to check with Prairie roaclbuilders on the cost of converting the ice skating
rink into tennis courts and the possibility of putting a tennis court back of the
fire station. This would also be paid for with Revenue sharing money,
