Regular Meeting of the Fairfax, City Co�li'ncil was held 10/l/75. M_ayor Stallman presiding
- Co ncilmen R Stallman, R Brecht, J Zamastil , 'H Shakespeare Dre,sent St,ockton Absent
Minutesof Previous meeting approved.
Robert Flaherty &, Marvin Stallman from the American IegionPost attended meeting
to advise council of a possible plan for a- bi centenial celebration next summer,,
Council .advise them to elect their committee beads and then call a joint meeting_
with council and representatives from all local organizations for a,, total
comTrunity involvwment.
Mr Levi 4 Mr Cox from Ia III Gas Co attenddd meeting to answer any questions in regard
to their companies service to the local citizens
Bills approved for payment 6n motion of J Zamastil Ind R Brecht carried
Discussion held on Tjoint meeting of P & Z committee with co ncil on Oct 7
Items on adgenda will be Zoning Ordinance, multi housing, sewer extension
charges, change in water rates, consider purchase of land from Iowa Fund for
small playground , disuession of C'r�,in Bin Road , review of purposed street to
be put in by Iowa Fund.
A, vacancy needs to be filled onP & Z 6ommittee. Clerk to check on several
possible members.
2nd Reading of Ord 31.30 read and approved.
Motion of 1i Shakespeare 2nd R Brecht. Fire Depp to check to see if they can
still get an additional Walki Talkie from the Zinn County Civiil Defense Carried
Mr Shakespeare advised co neil that about 3/4 0'f the present railroad street
that runs beside his building is on his -property. The next time streets are to
be fixed we should run a survey of the street and place it in the right place..
