Mayor and Council Members
of the City of Fairfax
Gentlemen:
I regret to inform you that I find it unwise to accept
my nomination, by write -in ballot, as council member of the
City of Fairfax for the term beginning January 1, 1976.
I am presently enrolled in night school at Kirkwood
Community College which requires a considerable amount of
time for study. I feel I would be doing you and the City of
Fairfax an injustice by not being able to devote an adequate
amount of time towards Council duties.
I also desire to be removed as a member of the Planning
and Zone Committeeand the Library Board for the same reason
mentioned above.
I will remain on the Volunteer Fire Department until
such time, the Council or members of the Fire Department recom-
mend I be replaced. I will do my best to do my fair share as
a member of the Fire Department.
Sincerely,
,24L,Ce
Vance J. all
