Clerk sworn into office James Stallman, Mayor Raymond Brecht, Russell Carver
& Ronald Stallman Councilmen,
Minutes of previous meeting approved,
Letter of resignation from the council was received from H. L. Shakespeare. Council
accepted resignation with regret. Mr Shakespeare will remain as Water & Sewer Dept
Superintendent.
Application for Liquor & Cigarette license and Dance permit w ere submitted by
Arthur Joeger (The Hideaway) for Council approval. Motion to accept applications
made by Ronald Stallman 2nd Raymond Brecht Carried,
On motion of Ronald Stallman 2nd Russell Carver a Warranty Deed for part of
the East extension of Main street accepted ffom Ronald Burger, Carried. Clerk
to have Warranty Beed recorded,
Ordinance 31,08 1,1,3rd reading passed on motion of Russell Carver Ind Raymond
Brecht Carried.
First reading of ordinance 75,08 passed on 1st reading pending correction of
required square footage, per lot. Motion by Russell Carver 2nd Ronald Stallman
The following appointments were made by Mayor and Council
Planning & Zoning: Reappoint Ken Selzer for 5 years and Betty Panek 5 years
. IinnCounty Park & Outdoor recreation -reappoint Gary Stockton
Mayor Pro Tem Raymond Brecht
City Clerk Virginia Soukup
City Treasurer Evelyn Carver
City Attorney Scott McLeod
Linn Co Civil Defense Ronald Stallman
Official Depository Fairfax State Savings Bank
Bills approved for payment, on notion of R Brecht 2nd R Stallmane Carried
Clerk to contact Iowa Electric in regard to covers off some street lights
R Carver and R Brecht to check on getting additional. fire insurance coverage
on contents of Fire Station, Council room and Water Lab.
Special meeting to be held 1/12/76 for the purpose of working on F/Y 76.77
Budget.
