Home My WebLink About09/08/1976 Council Minutes I A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held 9/9, /76 with Ron Thi lien and Terry Nelson from the Linn County Engineer's office and residents that live along the "Grain Bin" Road. Mayor fftallman, Councilmen:, R Brecht, R Stallman, E Brown and K Hanke present Plans were outlined and residents were ask to sign encroachment statements so that the ditch could be dug porperly and the road widen. Discvission with Engineers in regard to figuring the divisd5n of cost, The cost could be figured on the length of the urO jest within the City limits and divided in half® At some time in the future the bridge will creed to be replaced. Load limit sign should be placed by bridge and speed li:�it signs will need to be placed on road.® A meeting; with the Board. of Supervisors will be necessary some time before the raids are let, the latter part of September. With no further buz.ine.ss the MeVAL adjourned, toot 2 RESOLUTION WHEREAS: Bridge No, 5428 located on route E-66 Sec. 9, T-82-Ns R-8-W8 has been inspected, analyzed, and rated, and WHEREAS: The inspection, analysis,, and rating show that the said bridge has a 12 ton safe load capacity, and WHEREAS : The of Fairfax has a maintenance agreement with Linn County, NOW, THEREFORE ,, BE IT RESOLVER; That the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, hereby authorize the Linn County Engineer to place appropriate load limit signs .
