The regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held 11/4076 Mayor Stallman
presiding. Councilmen R Stall-man, R Carver, R Brecht , E Brown & K Nanke, present.
Discussion held with john Zamastil and Ray Zamastil in regard to the sub division
of atract of land owned by their father®
P& Z Recommondation that sub division as pAtted be :denied was presented to the
Council. On motion of K Hanke that council deny Zamastils permission to sub
divided their land into three pieces died for lack of second. Council tabled
P & Z recommondations - not acted upon.
Discussion was then held with the Zamastils in regard to their getting an easement
from their fatber to run a water line across his Droperty to feed two lots
instead of dividing the property into three lots. They would then use their
driveway on the sought side of Waycboff property for enterence into the two
lots and not plot Out my streots. City attorney to be contacted in regard to
30.06 of the Water Ordinance in regard to service pi§e, across nrivate property.
Motion to pay bills made by R Brecht 2nd R Stillman Carried-
Motion by R Brecht 2nd R StAlman that due to the low water table the flooding
of the ice skating rink wi'l''I be prohibited this year. Carried
Committee consisting of Mayor St8l1man, Councilmen R Carver and Water Superintendent
Harold Shakespeare was appointed to contact Jim McCormick in regard to purcbasing
land for Sewer Lag6on and Dale Netherton for purchase of lot for new well and
possible new Street dept garage.
Mr Dale Sawyer from Iowa 71eepric attended meeting in regard to the placement
of two new street lights, I to be placed at the NE corner of Main street and
where the QQ=Burger drive will be located and 1 on ParR Street on the
lot line between lot 44 and 45.
Linn R E C to be contacted in tegard to placement of a street light on the
Crain Bin road and Longview drive.
On motion of K Hanke MER Brecht Coat rack he purchased for $20.00. Carried.
Special council meeting to be held November 11 , 1976. City attorney to attend.
No further business meeting adjourned.
