Don! Young and Sherrie DeF ess from the Fairfax Library Board were present to ask
for an increase in the bid of for the Library from $530..00 per year to approximately
$1,200.,00.. This increase plus the possibility of county fronds would enable the
library beard to hire a MAN
Qan and thereby insure that the library, is open at
stated times , more services to all viti_zens. Adults as well as children. Utilit es
are the biggest expense at this titre.
Payroll for the year 1976 for the Fire Department was approved on mention of
R Brecht 2nd Ed gown. Carried
Fire Dept to sell old pump for what ever price they can get between 50.00 and
$75.00.
Public fearing held on the proposed purchase of land for the Sewage lagoon expansion
and on the option. No one appeared and no w0tten objections were received Mayor
S'tallman and committee to proceed with purchase, on motion of R Carver 2nd E Brown
Discussion held on the codification of our =City Ordinances. On motion of R ti or°ver
2nd Ed Brown, the Ordinance Codification Service of Des Moines, 7owa to be hired
to revise City ordinances. A down payment of $675.00 to be s..r±z at time contract
is signed. This down payment is to come from Revenue Sharing money. Carried,
ni suass iota held on the division of ply7'ment of Scott fir Pak and tangy: that had
to be purchased to abide with Federal safety regulations in the Water and Sewer
Department. dater and Sewer Dept to pay cost of of new one $330.00 and they
in turn will be given one of the older models that the Fire Department has
now on one of the Fire trucks.

Motion of R Carver 2nd Ed Brown. , Seven (7) —24 Side Arm chairs to be purchased
from Klinger office supply co. Cedar Rapids, Votin g 3 yeas 1 Nay 1 abstain Carried,
Special Budget meetings will be held January 10 and January 24.
