Amendment to garbage contract with PowellEauling was read raiging monthly
charges to $580.00 per month from $500.00, This figure was arrived at a
recount of stops within the city limits. Amendment approved on motion of
K. Hanke 2nd R Brecht. Carried
MoRica Morn, Community Aide, attended meeting to inform council of the
different resolutions and public notices in regard to final application
for Community Development funds for the Well Project.

recommended to Council that they approve of this rezatng from R-1 to R-3
James Piersall, Attorney for the Mbjectors to the Rezoning made a opening
statement. The main ojections were- Spot zoning, Trafficc inckease ,
Unsitily parking lots; less privacy, decrease in property valuttion
of single family dwellings, non owner occupants do not tale care of the
property, restricted view, decrease the quality of living for the
people in the area, increase of vandalism, cost of street improvements

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 23 .03 and 23 .04 OF THE MUNIC-
IPAL CODE OF FAIRFAX, IOWA, AND ENACTING NEW SECTIONS IN LIEU
THEREOF .
Be It Ordained by the Council of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, as follows:
Section 23.03 Clerk and Section 23.04 Treasurer, of the Municipal
Code of Fairfax, Iowa, are hereby repealed in their entirety, and the
following is substituted in lieu thereof.
Section 23.03, Clerk. Effective July 1, 1977, the
Clerk's annual salary shall be Three Thousand Three
Hundred Dollars ($3,300) .
Section 23,04, Treasurer. Effective! July 1, 1977,
the Treasurer's annual salary shall be Two Hundred
Twenty Five Dollars ($2 2 5) .
Passed by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa, this day of

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT APPLICATION
The City of Fairfax, Iowa, as applicant- for Community
Development Block Grant funds under Title I of the Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974 (P'ublic Taw 93-383) ,
has submitted an application to the Department of Housing
and Urban Development for $11, 000 to design and construct an
auxiliary municipal well. The local share of the project is
approximately $24 ,846.
All interested persons desiring to review the applica-
tion are advised that a copy of this document, as submitted
to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has been
placed on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall,
Pai f ax, law a, wii r t� w-L may be r E;quez IL, tiL ti iY
normal working hours, 8 : 30 A.M. to 11 :30, A.M. , Monday and
Tuesday. The application is also available for public inspec-
tion at the U. S. Post Office in Fairfax during the .regularly
scheduled hours of 8 : 00 A.M. to 12: 00 Noon and 1 : 00 P.M. to
5 : 00 P.M. , Monday through Friday.
