presiding. Councilmen R. Carver, E Brown, K Ranke & R Brecht present R. Sta1' lean
absent.
Liquor permit for tics drop Inn approved on motion o.f RC ar°ver 2nd K z?anke carried
Dance permit for Bo Drop Inn approved on motion of R Carver 2nd R Brecht carried.
Final Plat of Benton Jones Addition to Limn County was approved on Potion
of R Brecht 2nd R. Carver Carried
Lorin Carver's resignation from the Rlammmai_ng Moning accept by council and
placed on file.
Petition received and placed on file in regard to the rezoning of 3 lots
in block 4 of Original Town of Fairfax,
Public hearing an the rezoning of lots A, B, & C in block. 4 of the original
town of Fairfax. Ken Selzer request to rezone this property from R®1 to R-2
for the purpose of constructing duplex's. P & 7 cOmmiTttee $s vote was 3 yes,
1 no and l abstaining for rezoning. Some of the Wections from those in attendance
were too rapid growth, putting strain on cirt7 budget, multi housing won3d
not increase the tax revenue much more that a single family home , added burden
on the already over loaded sewer and eater systems, spot zoning?, water run of'f etc®
Mr Serer stated that the duplex's would be 2600 with each apartment raving,
approximately 1000 square feet, the water runoff would be no problem beca=use
he would have his engineer make sure that the excess surface water would
be direeted away from surrounding property. No ob sctions received when
tales was built just two blocks away, theme are numerous houses in various
parts of Fairfax that are two famiiy occupied and 4n a R-1 forming. On
motion of R Carver 2nd E Brown council reipcted R & Z reconmond,ations on rezoning
change. 3 Yes I abstain 1 ab ett.
A special meeting with Green Engineering to be set next week for an ..
evaluation of Whitney Pump's suggestions on lift Station imPrOvcments.

Gene Britch from Green Engineering explained to council the proposed improvements
to the pumps at the lift stations that L Whitney Co had recommended., He advised
council that no matter which way they go to improve the lift stations they are
only a stop gap measure and until studies on infiltration are finished and corrected
the passibility of flooded basements still are mnossible. But rewinding the motors
from 5 HP to 71 Hp would be a quick solution to moving the extra grater to the
13goo a, little better. On Motion of R Brecht 2nd R Carver Whitney Pump to �
have pumps in Lift Station 1 rewound, cut impellers to fit and remove and instal!
new starters at cost of 558.00 per pump, and eliminate tie purposed single {
