Carver ask if this citizen was so concerned over the Sheriffs contract why were
they not at meeting?
Capt Smith, Linn County Sheriffs Dept, attendked the meeting to conf re;. with the
council on the raise in hourly rate and the hours to be contracted by Fairfax
with the. in the Fin al year 1979/80. Capt Smith stF-t ern that to equip,school and

Capt Smith statel that at a previous meeting with mayors in Linn County, the

Deputy Jacobs was instructed by Council to matk cars and inform owners of same
that they mast be moored if trey are or have been parked on the street for more
that 24 boars, It is very difficult to plo ta the streets if cars are stored
on the streets instead of in drive ways of their o naers, Ordinances on books
covering these situations. Owners are subject tc fine's and possible towing.

Bills approved for payment on motion of R Carver, 2nd. R Stallman. Carried
Clekk to contact school officals about the bus stop in the middle of the street
at Re-
ynolds and Church st and at Church and Vanderbilt. They are to be ask to wove
the one out of the middle of the street and to possib]l;ru6�1_yainate one stop between
vanderbi_lt and Hi€hway 149.
