Monica Moen, Community Aide, informed council that a conference had been geld
With Mr Joe Solis, Equal Opportunity Specialist, in regard to our progress on
the well project and in particular our Affirmative Action Program. lac Solis
advised that we had a very good affirmative action program.
norm motion of Russell Carver 2'rd K Hanke the City of Fairfax to cancel our contract
with Hawkeye Waste Systems for garbage pickup and accept the bid of $2.507 per
stop .from, Barker Sanitation. Carried on roll call vote.
Motion of Kathie Hanke 2nd Vernon Cerveny approval was geatted for cigarette
permits to Chavles, Sankots Station, Franks .Apco, & Selzer Enterprises; , Carried
Mr Otto Kosek advised council that be has purchased the "'Quarry" property and
would like to develope the area. After some discussion Mayor Stallman advised
Mr Kosek to came back to the July council meeting with more definate plans.
Mr Kosek donated $100.00 to the Fire inept for the 4th of July fireworks.
Fire Chief °Yanecek ask council permission to block off one block of Reynolds
street for a vkat6r ball fight on Saturday 6/13/79. Permission granted
Bills approved for payment and clerk given permission to pay all bills within
reason that are received before 6/30/79 so they may be taken care of before end
of fiscal year on motion of Russell Carver, 2nd Kathie Hanke carried,
Motion of Kathie Hanke 2nd Vernon Cerveny 31heriffs contract sighed and sent
to the Board of Supervisors for their signatures Carried
Letter of complaint against coo ncilperson Kathie Hanke presented to council
by Kenneth 0. Selzer
No parking sign at north edge of the f irestation drive way to be moved 20feet
to the north as per ordinance 2.1-2.1006 section 10
Motion by Russell Carver 2nd Leroy Patterson that city to purcbase 300 gallon
barrell and. sta?ld from Clenns DX for $77.50. Carried
Deputy Shelly brought to the councils attention that one section of the traffic
code in regard to the 53 rile an hour speed zone had been left out of the code
book. Codification service to be contracted on this matter.
Fire Department to get bids f'ir side boxes and set its unit and other items
to equip the new pickup truck.
