Regular meeting of the Feirfax City Council was held '9/6/79. Mayor .Tames Stall an
presiding. Councilmen R. Stallman, R. Carver, K. Hanks, & V. Cerveny present.

Minutes of previous meetings approved on motion of R. Stallman 2nd F, Hanke. Carried
P & Z recommondations for approval of theiieplat of lots 2 ®21 Giddings addition
presented to council,, and placed on file.
Resolution 961,79 approving of the final plat of Burgers Replat of Lots 2 through 11
introduced. Motion by K. k3anke with 2nd by R. Stallman for ,approval of resolution
9679„ Carried on roll call vote. All Ayes.
Ron Burger presented council two bills for the repairs at the ball park and a lock
for their consideration. (o.k1d for payment see motion below)
Ron Burger also answered questions of council, on behalf of the American Legion,
in regard to the 1980 Hey Day, concerning the blocking of streets and the notification
of residence can the street as to ti-,ne of blockage.
Fall Engi6eering to be Notified to conduct an inspection of the paving of Hunger
Dane at the time of construction. Mr Burger playas on paving full width but half length.
Vance Hall presented his building permit for the construction of a home on
Cemetary Road West for council approval. Motion to approve made by R. Stallman,
2nd R. Carver. Carried on roll call vote, All Ayes.
Building permit for an addition stall on garage received-frog Chas Bblland, Garage
is located on V.-nderbilt street to the south of the Tavern. Motion to approve
R. 'S`tallmin 2nd R. Garver.. Roll call vote Ayes Stallman, Carver, Cerveny. Hanks
abstained,
Lowa III Gas presented for council approval plans for the extension of gas trains
along Highway 149 in &Guru's lst addition. Motion to approve by K. Han e 2nd
V. Cerveny. Carried on roll- call vote. All Ayes.
K. G. Selzer granted permission to install a culvert in the -ditch in fr®nt of
02 Reynolds Street (Senior Citizen 4-pleas) on motion of R. Stallman 2nd V. Cerveny,
Carried in roll call vote, All Ayes.
Discussion on repairs and replacement of sidewalks. City to repair (by cutting
tree roots and lowering two sections) sidewalk. on Church street owned by James
Duggan, per mayors order.
Resignation received and accepted by council of Dave Short from the P & Z committee.
Motion to approve bills made by R, Carver 2nd R. Stallman. Carried
Resolution providing for the assurance of $25,000 Cenral Obligat on Waterbonds
and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same .introduced by Russell Carver.
Motion to approve by R. Stallman 21pd V. Cerveny, Earried on roll call vote. All ,dyes
s"cussion: Rota Dusil to purchase wheel barrow, Clerk, to check. with City Engineer
in regard to the locatio of the base of levels or Datum Plane with the possibility
of a change in location or a clarification of the exact location of the one mentioned
in Ordinance 74 "Curb lines and Street Grades"'
