Regular meeting of the Ppirfax City Council was held l / / 9® Mayor Jame
Stallman presiding. Councilmen Stall an, Carver, Patterson, & Cerveny present
Hanke Absent.

Minute of previous meeting approved and placed on file,. or, motion of V Cerveny
2nd L. Patterson. Carried,
Bob Levi and Hal Cilbert of Iowa Illinois Gas & E1ec attended meeting to inquire
of council if there where any complaints on the service their. company is giving;
the city, None received
Estimate can roof repairs received. Total cost to be $645.00 with a $315.00 credit do
warranty bring cost to $330.,00. Lotion to approve by P Stallman, 2nd R Carver.
Carried. Clerk to contac t them (T&K Roofing.) so they can start job before the
now falls.
Rural Community Fire Protection Federal assistance grant to be sent in to le
defier the cost of 4 additional air tanks. Approved on motion of R Carver 2nd.

Sheriff to be `not ified that someone is du ping garbage between Kubasa Trail
and the creek, and that Bob Jackson's dogs are running loose at night.
1st Reading of Ordinance 80 -Rezoning of Arp property-approved on motion of
R. Carver grad L Patterson-, Carried. Motion to waive 2nd and 3rd readings made
by R. Carver 2nd R. Stallman. Carried, Mayor declared ordinance approved.
Motion of k. Stallman 2nd R Carver city to buyctaains for truck and that old chains
be sold for $50.00. Carried. Clerk to check for prices on new chains.
Linn County kegional :Planning,'s suggestions for up dating our portion of the
Linn County Park and Recreation Plan, were discussed, On motion of Vernon
Cerveny 2nd Ronald Stallman city to allow people to come in and cut trees along
the creek bank between Vanderbilt Street and where the power lines cross the
creek. They must sign a waiver of liability relieve the city of any responsibility
in case of accident. Carried. This area to ,be bulldozed and cleared after
trees have been removed®
Clerk granted permission with expenses paid, to attend the Ii+FOA meeting
in Iles Mori ea October 17,

Clerk to contact Chicago Northwestern Railroad again in regardtothe crossing
ignals on Vanderbilt Street.

Purpose of meeting- Liq Ind cig permit for Five Star Saloon. Motion to approve
bags permits made y R. Carver 2nd R Stallican. Carried
