Discussion held on Corden Sorg build:ng permit. Brought to the attention of
the City Council that construction had been started before building permit granted
it - Clerk to Notify Mr Sorg that all construction to cease until ap"lication
is reviewed. A special council meeting to be held June 16, 1980. Clerk to notify
Planning & Zoning W Board of Review to attend this meeting, for clarification
of building pert its issuing and Any ofdinsnce amendments needed to deal with
this situation, any other such matters.
Building permit and curb cut approved for Ken Selzer Construction co for
new house on Lot 51, Iowa Fund addition, on motion of R Stal Yon 2nd V Cervegy

plug does not need to be mow-d and will not be fixed until after water main is
eutended.

the Reewlvation of the Flood plaine has been cancelled due to shortage of funds.
DOT informed council that a summer street inventory crew will be in Fairfax

MUTUAL, AID AGREEMENT
The following agreement, to provide mutual aid, is made by the
Board of Trustees of the Benton #3--Linn #5 Benefited Fire District; the
Atkins Volunteer Fire. Dept. ; the Atkins City Council; the

The urpose of this "mutual aid"' agreement is: to provide additional

and/or specialized fire fighting equipment, manpower, water supplies,
loss and destruction of

property; to fight simultaneous fires in an area; and to provide search
and rescue assistance: in the case of -natural disasters.
It is agreed:
1 that, the Chief, or Officer In Charge, in whose protection area the

owner(s) who indiscriminately calls several departments without the
approval or knowledge of the fire officer for his area. Charges , if
any, shall be determined at the time of the incident; o

This agreement supersedes any or all previously written and dated.
"'mutual aid" agreements, and shall remain in force until revised or
terminated by the party(s) concerned. To terminate this agreement a
party shall give a 30-day written notice to all other parties to this
agreement.

RENTAL FEE AND CARBAM MMOTION FEE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa
1. Sewer rent of 4®.50 and garbage collection fee of
$6.50 is due and payable to the City of Fairfax, Iowa
2. Russ Wei skopf has failed to pal the above listed
bills. He his moved out K town and the property
is currently for sale.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of
Fairfax, that these charges be certified to the Linn
County Auditors office for placement an a special
assessment on the property legally known as

or wages indicated and the clerk is autborized to issue checks , less legally
required or authorized deductions from the amounts set out below, and make
.such contributions to TIERS and FICA or other purpose as required by law
or authorizationof the council, all subject to audit and review by the
council.
