Councilmen Stallman, Carver, Selzer, ShakesDeare & Cerven�? present. i Purpose of meeting: Budget work session Bob Lefebure and Gilbert Lefebure attended meeting as representatives of the American Legion in regard to Hey Day. They ask to be put or the agenda for the Rli�gular Council meeting in! February and at that time they will have definite plans and drawings as to the location of the beer tentand therides. A request from the City of Walford for water for their ice skating rink discussed on motion of H Shakespeare 2nd V Cervpny request to be granted. Roll call vote No votes K. Selzer & R. Carver Yes votes R. Stalli-iian, H S 'akespeare & V Cerveny. Clerk to contact Walford City Clerk in regard to just how, when and where the water was to be delivered. Library Trustees Don Young and Carol Sorg presented the Library Budget to the council. Total budget amounting to $,6025.00, with the possible receipts of 52,025,00 bringing. the tax asking to $4,000.00. After discussion an additional $600,00 of Revenue Sharing Tconey to be designated for Library use,the) tax asking will be 1,400.00 or approximate the same as last year, Clerks salary discussed, $6.00 per hour for 32 hour week beginning July 1, 1981 and on motion of R. Carver,ClerV- to be paid for 7 holidays and on motion of V. Cerveny Clerk to receive 2 weeks vacation. both motions 2nd by R. Stallm-an. carried. Motion by K. Selzer grad R. Carver council Day per meeting to be increased to '$10.00 effective January 1 , 1982. Carried Amended ordinance to be drawn 'Up. Clerk to contact Ken Rabitt in regard to the possibility of Iowa Fund Inc selling to the City the land along the creek bank on Front Street. No further business meeting adjourned. Purpose of meetingi Budget work session and any other such 'matters to come to the councils attention. Liquor License renewel for Charles Boland approved on motion of R. Carver grad K. Selzer carried Discussion on obligating 400 to 500 dollars for surveying, abstracting etc, to obtain a deed to the creek bank along Front street from Iowa Fund. Motion made by K. Selzer 2nd R. Carver to spend up to $500.00 dollars to obtain deed and a written guarantee from Iowa Fund that they will give to the land to Fairfax when all the paper work is done. Carried Motion of R. Carver 2nd R. Stallm. a I n garbage chagges on Water bills to be raised f6r residential from 91.00 per month to $2.00 and Commercial from $2.00 to $4.00, tb be 'effective on the June 1981 billing. Carried Letter read from Gene Fritch of Green Engineering in regard to the delay in getting funding from Kansas City. Letter to be send to Senators Crassley, Jepson and Congressmen Tauke in regard to this matter. Budget finished up. No further business meeting adjourned.
