Minutes of carevious meeting approved, and placed on file, an motion of V, Cerveny 2nd Rs Carver. Beer permit for the Probst Kerr-McGee filling station approved on motion of R. Stallman 2nd, V. Cerveny. Carried ali' yeas I Don Rleis, Prairie Rcsadbuild r°s, presented to council a. agreement for j street improvements stating a firm price of $.0449 per square yard. with the City of Fairfax furnishing pea gavel stock piled at the proiect sites If city does not furnish pea gravel the price will be approximately .60 per square yards After d iscussion a motion was made by Russell Carver to accept the agreement from Prairie Road.bui.lder:s stqti.ng e firm price of .0449 per square yard and the city will frar°ni 'h the pea gavel 2nd by Ronald ,Stallman. Mayor declared motions carried, Iowa Electric Light Del Block, Area Commercial Manager paid a courtesy call can the Council. On motion of R. Carrier with 2nd by K. Selzer ordinance` to changed to reflect this increase , with a review in six months.. Carried., Public hearing on th4�se changes and the garbage rate increase to be held at the March 5th regular council meeting. The council feared the time and place for the puhlic hearing on March 5, 1951, 7 P.M. at the City hall to consider and approve the F/'Y 81/82 budget on motion of R. Carver 2nri H. "WATER & SEWER RATES APPROVAL OF BILLS PRESENTED FIX TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET AND ANY OTHER SUCH MATTERS TO CVIE TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL I i This agreement made and entered into this day of j 19 between the City of hereafter referred to as the City and Prairie Road Builders, Inc., Hazleton, Iowa hereafter referred to as the Contractor. " itnesseth that for and in consideration of the covenants hereinafter mentioned to be performed by the parties hereto and of the payments hereinafter agreed to be made,it is mutually agreed as follows: That the Contractor shall furnish all material, superintendence, labor,equipment, and transportation and shall execute, construct and complete in an expeditious and workmanlike manner all necessary work to complete street improvements, as required by the City. See exceptions below. The work,of construction shall be started on or before the day of 29 weather permitting, and shall be carried on continuously as provided in the specifications until completed. The job may be started earlier or later with councils permissions In consideration of the completion of the work described herein and the fulfillment of this agreement, the City shall pay the Contractor and Contractor shall accept unit price indicated in the following tabulations;and in accordance with I specifications hereto attached.The quantity shall be as decided by the City Council or its representative,unless stated otherwise. i i Seal Coat Using Cutback Asphalt i Seal Coat Using Emulsified Asphalt Rolled Stone Base Stabilization Blade Mix Base Preparation(No Asphalt Furnished) Extra Asphalt Grade Patching Material Furnished City to furnish any base rock used; any other work required by the City to be done at a per hour or per unit price as per attached sheet or negotiated. Contractor certifies that he carries liability insurance for the protection of the City in case of negligence on his part or any of his men. Certificate furnished upon request. Payment for the above work to be made at the next regular council meeting after completion of the work, unless other payment arrangements were made when contract was executed, as listed below: IN WITNESS, whereof the said City has caused this agreement to be executed in its behalf as by the law and ordinance of said City provided and the Contractor has signed this agreement the day and year above written.
