of an asphalt plant may be harmful to him.

1. The plant at Robins and the proposed plant at Fairfax are:
a. Different cost. (Robins much better)
b. Robins does emit an odor at different times of the day.
2. Anyone with Asthma, Respiratory or Heart Disease can be affected
by fumes (odors).
3. Last but not least, I was living at our present location for
seven years. I had nothing to do as to zoning of my lot. I
would have purchased it had it been zoned a part of Fairfax
because of clean air and the quiet of the area. heavy industry
will not add anything to make the town better.

WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to prescribe the compensation
payable to the Fairfax City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE„ BE IT RESOLVE by the City Council of Fairfax, Iowa,
as follows:
In addition to the hourly compensation already being paid to the
Fairfax City Clerk., the Fairfax City Clerk shall receive the sum of
Ten Dollars ($10) for each meeting of the City Council attended.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE I, CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3, SECTION .
1-3.0306, OF TH E CITY CODE OF FAIRFAX,- IO 'A.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE.CITY COUNCIL OF FAIR:F'AX, IOWA
Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend
Title I, Chapter 3, Article 3, Section 1-3.0306, of the City Code of
Fairfax, Iowa.
Section 2. Section 1-3.0306 of Title I, Chapter 3, Article 3, City
Code of Fairfax, is repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:
1-3.0306. Compensation. The salary of each council-
membew shall be Ten Dollars ($10) for each meeting of
the council attended.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
