Minutes of previous mneeti'ng, approved and placed on file. Clerks Budget report
aDDroved and placed on file.
Nancy Josifek made motion to appoint Dan Peddycoa®t to the Faire Dept 2nd V.
Cerveny. Carried_

Approval of same and pelrmission to plant trees given on--motion-af V Cerveny 2nd J FeQht
Cigarette and Liquor license for the Star Hotel & Livery approved on motion
of R. Carver grad V. Cerveny Carried
Cigarette and Liquor license for the Dodge Inn approved on motion of N. .Josifek,
grad J. Feight. Carried
Resolution 3282B, aceepting the State of Iowa grant: of 57. of r sonable cost of
the conttruct:ion of the Suer Project presented by J. Feight 2nd V.Cerveny.
Roll Call vote all yeas.
Discussion of Hey Day p ns with representatives from the Legion, re -. Parking and
Beer Tent location. Permission granted Legion to place beer tent in the same
location as last year on emotion of J. Feight 2nd V. Cerveny. Loll call vote
Yens Carver, Cerveny &. Feight No Josifek. Mayor declared motion passed.
Parking will be further discussed at time .April 1 regular--council mmmeeting.(Linn
County Sheriff also to attend this meeting)
Street Commission changed) from 3 to 2 members. Members to be R. Carver and
Jim Feight.
Leonnrd _DPvis , Atkins TV,attended meeting for further discussion with council
on bring"'m Cable TV to Fairfax. Council will work further on Cable Ordinance, and
Franchise. Examples of passible cost to subscribers 6 extra channels including
a childrens channel would be $16.50 a month or 4 extra channels at $14.50, These
cost would be based in part on number o£ subscribers obtained in Fairf,x.
Besol4xtion 3482A - Agreement with Iowa DOT and Chgo Northwestern on up dating
crossing signals on Vanderbilt crossing approved on motion of N. Josifek,
2nd V. Cerveny, All voted yea.
Motion to purchase copying mamachire from the A. B. Dick company made by
V. Cerveny 2nd B. Carver. Carried. �

15 Citizens attended meeting. Discussion: Street maintence contract letting,
sewer & water bills, dogs running at large and cat ordinance.
City notified by the Cedar Rapids City Council that the Landfill fee will be
increased from $3.00 per capita to $4.25 effective July 1, 1982.
Bills approved for payment on Motion of V. Cerveny 2nd N. ,Josifek. Carried.
