SEE-led bids to be received and opened at Special Council meeting, on May 17th. Ordinance 94 Amending 'Title iI, Chapter 2, Article 10, Section 2.1®2.1006 Paragraph 13. ";HAZAIRWITeD PARkTNG LOCATIONS" was presented and read the first time. Councilmen R. Carver moved the approval of the Ordinance on w.ts first reading and that the rule requiring three readings on three different days be suspended and theOrd.ihance be placed on its second and third readings by its title; seconded by Councilmen H..Shakes _?areYeas Carver, Cerveny, Josifek, Shakespeare,peight. Trays none. The ordinancd was then read the second and t a d tunes by its title, Councilman N. Josfiek moved the adoption of the ordinances as reach; seconded by 'Co ncilman V. Cerveny. All 'yeas .. Nays none, Mayor Stal.lman declared ordinance adopted and in effect as prescribed by law. City Cleric ask permission of council to hire Deputy Clerk & City Treasurer Evelyn Carver for approximately 10 hours a month to help with the waterbilling. Permission granted on motion of N. Titter received from Fairfax Friendly Homemakers Club advising Council that they wish to donated tothe City $100.00 towards the purchase of Volleyball equipment for use at the park. Motion to accept gift made by J. Feight 2nd N. Josifek. Voting; All Ayes. Discussion on the question as to who 286 would be responsible for the checking in and out of this equipment has not been settled, Letter to Club thanking them for gift and asking for suggestions to help solve this problem. Clerk, Russell Carver, Mayor Pro-Teem I i i I } ORDINANCE 'I r AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE II, CHAPTER. 2., ARTICLE 10, SECTION 2.1-2.1,006(13) , OF THE CITY CODE OF FAIRFAX, IOWA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FAICRFAX, IOWA Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Title II, Chapter 2, Article 10, Section 2.1-2.1006(13) , of the City Code of Fairfax, Iowa. Section 2. Section 2. 1-2. 1006(13) of Title II, Chapter 2, Ar- ticle 10, City Code of Fairfax, is repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof: 13. Hazardous Locations. At any place, where, because of restricted visability or when standing, or parked vehicles would constitute a hazard to moving traffic, or when other traffic conditions require, the Mayor may cause to be erected permanent or temporary no parking or standing signs. [Code of Iowa, Section 321.358(13)] Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. Adopted this day of 1982, and approved on the same date.
