Receipts to account for: General Fund 2€7,279. 74, Revenue Sharing 1 ,455.78 , RUT 2,346.5 4 Debt Service 2,497.82, Water Dept: 1,928.57, Sewer Dept 4,On4.45. € Beer Permit (Regular and Sunday) for Fairfax Handitrart and a 6months seasonal Beer permit (Regular and Sunday) for the Fairfax Baseball team was approved on motion of R. Garver 20 Shakespeare , Building permits presented : L.Patterson, garage door , ,J.R.Banes, C'ar°a.ge , Dunn Construction new house , R. Sluiter, Ratio and steps, R Andrle , shed. Motion to approve building permits with the exception of Sluiter and Andrle abode by R.Carver 2nd H. Sltakespe,are i and they further moved that Mr Sluiter and Mr Andrle should be notified to attend the .June 2„ 1983 Council meeting and explain to council Why they started their construction before being issued a building permit or be subject to a fine. Carried 4 Yeas. Application of the American Legion to move their Meer permit from the Legion Ball to the Beer Tent for fey Day presented. Motion to approve thi.sapplication by R. Carver, 2nd H. Approved Bey Dey Committee advised Council that the Beer Tent will be closed at 1.AM on Friday 6/17/83 and 12 Midnight on Saturday 6/19/93. Two Bids were received for the mowing- of-City Property, $1 ,475.00 from Tom : & Dennis Peiffer and $845.00 from Chris Burger, Motion by E. Shakespeare 2nd .R.Carver that the grass mowing contract be awarded Chris Burger. Approved: All Yes Correspondence from the Fairfax Fire Dept requesting permission for the following items for the 4th of Julyil. Close Linn Street from 'ark. St to Fairfax Road from 9FM until after fireworks , Q. ]larking; on one side of Linn Street only , 3. No parking on Chryrch Street from Reynolds to Fairfax RoaQ.Pern issioi to park cars on the ball diamond and the north side of St bats School if needed , 5. Permit to haveo fireworks display. These items would also would be covered in case a rain date Reeds to be set. Motion to approve Fire Departments request with the exception of the parking, North of St. Patricks made by N. To sign the corners correctly we will need to have 34 of tb.em on the North side of town and 52 on the south side. Discussion held also on certain ditches that should be dug out and reshaped. Discussion and action takers on following; items: Chicago NW RR to be called about repairing sidewalk and cleaning difches ,Brown & Dyer to be cal-lee to arrange for replacing sewer main,fence repairs at lagoon-McCormick to be called and ask if City bays wire if he will maintain fence on Rest end of Lagoon, Prices to be gotten on woven wire and chain link fence for possible fence ba went side city park, (More discussion on this will be held at .June meeting) Sign at part showing names of donators of various equipment, (N. ,Josifek to handle this item) , Clerk to check prices on Error & Ommission policy for Faire Department , Representative from Frontier Coop Spice attended meeting and offered Council S1008,00 payment on water bill. After discussion Motion by R. Garver 2nd N. Josifek that the $1000,00 be accepted and the balance of aggreed upon amount be paid at a rate of 100.00 per month plus 10% interest (per annum) on un paid balance . Dig out both sides of ditch on abandoned part of Fairfax Road going North to railroad tracks Dig out high spot at the Corner of Fairfax Road and Linn Street, both South and West 5. Dig out ditch along, railroad tracks along Carver property to get :rid of water by grain bins 6. Culvert at George Georges need lowering 7. Corner of Park & Linn Street, Water drains east Culvert isn't big enough across Park street and is higher on the west end 8. Between Dave Selzer and Linn Street. High spot needs taken out and possibly Selzers culvert lowered to drain water out of his front vard 9. Ditch in front of Andy Millers old house to in front of rectory and beside Huggans law from Vanderbilt to Millers old place. Dirt needs to be put in parking beside Dug;gans and ditch rocked to keep tavern patrons parking in ditch and not on parking. -10.
