Approval of minutes, budget report, financial reports 2. Moratorium resolution on manufactured homes. . .City Attorney is is suppose to have one written so it will comply with the the law. 3. Building permits 4. Bob Er g er would like 5 minutes of council time in regard to the use of some property he is leasing on Williams Blvd across from the county storage garage 5. Report on Hey Day meeting that will be held on July 31, with possible action by council 6. Report on insurance by Councilman Balog 7. Flood Plain ordinance (If I get it finished in time) 8. Permission from council to Linn County Health Dept to issue Ken Selzer septic tank and well permits. Council present, Balog, Berryhill, Josife,k, Zamastil, absent Otto. Minutes of previous meeting, budget report and financial report approved on motion of N, Josifek, 2nd. T. Berryhill. Carried i Receipts to be accounted for: General Fund: $3,120,.60, RUT Fund: 1,853.76, Debit Serv: 25.00, Rev. Sharing: 1,541.33, Water Dept: 1,605.82, Sewer Dept. 3,1910.67, Garbage fees 1,277.00. Investments all accounts - 218,000.00 Resolution #8284 "Moratorium on issuing building permits on manufactured homes" presented by N. Josifek 2nd T. Berryhill. Carried on roll call vote. All voting yes. Bob Erger, Cropmate Co, ask councils permission to relocate office building from present location to new location. B. Balog made motion to approve relocation of office,2nd J. Zamastil Carried Regis Arp attended meeting to discuss the property awned by him next to his home where the Haw€eye Livestock Auction building, He will be presenting a petition for annexation of this property into the City limits at the September meeting. K. Selzer presented a building permit for a home to be built on certain property located east of the quarry and west of the sewage lagoon. After discussion Mayor Feight called for motion to approve building permit, hearing none he again called for a motion and again no motion was made. Therefore no action was taken on the building permit. Joe Ostrenga brought to the Council thoughts and ideas gleamed from the July 31, l7 public meeting on Hey Dey. Council to combine his notes with theirs and present them to the American Legion for their reply. On notion of B. Balog 2nd J. Zamastil that a refund of 3/4' s of the one year beer- permit that the Legion purchased for Hey Dey. Carried All voting yes. Councilmen Balog gave a report on his review of our insurance coverage. A special meeting will be set up at later date, to further study of this review Discussion on Bridge Inspection report that was done for the City by Linn County, On motion of T. Berryhill 2nd B. Balog, City will monitor the bridge . I forany structural problems with the possibility- of. sa:nd blasting & painting,, it this fall. Carried All voting Yes. Flood Plain Ordinance discussed. City Clerk to contact P & Z for them to set up a meeting on the Flood Plain Ordinance and the annexation of Arp property. { On motion of B. Balog, 2nd N. Josifek Linn County Health Department to be notified that the Council will reconsider their request to grant Mr. Selzer Septic tank and well permits at the time building permit is issued on 16.23 acres owned by Mr Selzer. Carried All voting yes, On Motion of B. Balog, 2nd T. Berryhill, City Clerk: given permission to represent the City of Fairfax at the League of Municipalities meeting in Waterloo, Iowa on September 26,27 & 28th. Carried all voting yes Motion to approve bills made by B.Balog, 2nd N. Josifek, with the exception of Overhead Door Co bill. T. Berryhill to talk to Overhead door in this regard.
