Discussion and action upon same. Adjournment. 4-so Regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held 8/1/85. Mayor Feight presiding. Council present: Balog, Berryhill, Bullock, Josifek & Zamastil Minutes of the previous meeting approved on motion of Balog, 2nd Berryhill Budget & Financial report accepted and placed on file. Receipt to be accounted for as follows: General Fund: $2,190.70, RUT 1,843.47, Debt Sery 33.06, Revenue Sharing 1,308.00, Library T &A 175.00, Water 1,969.36, Sewer 5,101.88, Garbage 1,328.00 Total receipts & Investments for July $340,171.53 Ron Stallman, Ass't Chief Fire Dept., gave Council a briefing on the upcoming availability of the 911 system throughout Linn County. John Feld, Representative from Iowa Electric, discussed I.E.'s service and explained the new time of day rates. Discussionheld with the Wm Wilson's in regard to volunteer annexation of their property into the City. On motion of D. Bullock 2nd N. Josifek, Resolution 8185 "ESTABLISH A LICENSE WITH THE CHICAGO NORTHWESTERN TRANSPORATION FOR WATER LINE UNDER AND UPON THEIR PROPERTY" passed on roll call vote. All voting aye Installation of drinking fountain at ball park tabled On motion of Josifek, 2nd Zamastil Resolution 8185A "APPROVAL OF RUT ANNUAL REPORT" passed on a roll call vote. All voting AYE On motion of Balog, 2nd Berryhill, new agreement with HACAP for workers signed with the hourly pay contribution from the City changed from 45t an hour to 55¢. Carried All voting Aye. Discussion and explantion of State Annual report explained to council by City Clerk. ayor Feight discussed some goals and committee assignments with council. Improvements to several areas and buildings to make them accessible to the handicapped to be put on the November adgenda On motion of Balog 2nd Berryhill, 3 inscribers and 3 marking pens are to be purhased and placed at the library for loan to citizens to enable them to mark their property in regard to the Neighborhood watch program. The street signs for Neighborhood Watch to be purchased as need. Roll call vote, all voting aye. Motion of Josifek, 2nd Berryhill, Building permit for Brian Otis not be approved and the matter refered to the Board of Adjustment as it does not meet the side .:.yard requirements. Roll call vote, all voting aye. On motion of Balog, 2nd Josifek, Overflow pipe on Lift Station #2 to be closed and contractor to be notified that we wish to continue our plan for cleaning all the sewer mains in the city. Roll call vote. All voting aye. Bills approved for payment on motion of Zamastil, 2nd Balog, Carried No further business, motion to adjourn by Josifek at 11 PM, 2nd Balog.
