ADJOURNMENT. I 3 i Mayor-Pro-Tem Balog opened the Public Hearing on the 1986/1987 Budget on 3/6/86 at 7 P .M. Council present : Bach, Cerveny & Shakespeare . No written objections received and no open appeared to object . Public Hearing closed at 7 : 05 PM. Mayor--Pro-tem Balog open regular council at 7 : 05. Councilmen. Bullock j arrived at 7 : 10 . Minutes of previous meeting approved on motion of Cerveny, 2nd Bach, Carried . Financial & Budget reports presented and placed on file . Receipts to be account for : General Fund:' $3 , 706 . 20 , Revenue Sharing 108 . 45, RUT' Fund : 2 , 401 . 54, Debit Serv: 65 . 01 , Water Dept 1 , 590. 83, Sewer Dept : 3 , 6319 . 55, Garbage fees 557 . 00 . Bob Levi, from Iowa Illinois Gas spoke to the Council on their service and rates to residences of Fairfax. Liquor permit for the Star Hotel was approved on motion of Cerveny 2nd Shakespeare . Carried. Mayor Peters arrived at 7 : 45 PM. "Discussion held in regard to Mayors appointment with the Sheriff and in regard to � g the parking tickets that have been issued. Council to investigate the use of envelopes for parking fines and the Sheriffs dept to use the alternate type of fine as listed in Ordinance 2 . 1-2 . 1102 On motion of Cerveny, 2nd Bullock, City Council to bold a special meeting of 3126/86 with Dr. David Hammond, Iowa Extension Service , 3 members of the Library Board and the Librarian in regard to conducting a "Needs Survey" of the residences of Fairfax. Carried all votingAye . On motion of Balog, 2nd Cerveny Resolution 3686 "ADOPTION OF 1986/87 BUDGET" was presented and approved. All voting Aye . On motion of Shakespeare 2nd Cerveny, person 'to be hired on a part- time "as needed" basis to fill in the absence of Water & Sewer Supt. Carried. All voting aye . On :notion of Bullock, 2nd Cerveny, City Clerk to be allowed 108 hours of paid vacation per year . On motion of Shakespeare 2nd Cerveny, Water & Sewer Supt to be allowed 120 fours paid vacation per year and one additional personal day per. year. Carried . All voting aye . On Motion of Shakespeare "Salary Resolution 3686A" presented 2nd Bullock. Carried . All voting Y e .a I Discussion held in regard to the summer mowing of city property. On motion of Cerveny 2nd Balog, Chris Burger to do the job again this year . Carried . All voting aye . Discussion held on the water rates . RESOLUTION SETTTNG THE SALA__RIES FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF r'xIRFAE. FOR THE FTSCAL YEAR OF 1986/1987. BE IT RESOLVED: By the Council of the City of Fairfax, Towa. SECTION 1. The following positions named shall be paid the salaries or wage,- indicated and the City Clerk is .authorized to issue checks, Less legally required or authorized deductions from the amounts set out below, and make such contri- butions to IPERs and FICA or other purposes as required by law or order of the City Council, all subject to audit and/or review by the City Council.. POSITION YEARLY, MONTHLY OR BASIC HOURS HOURLY RATE CITY CLERK $ 8.00 per hour M,T,W,F (32 hours & 4 hours non-office) DEPUTY CITY CLERK & WAT'ERBILLTNG CLERK $ 5.00 per hour 15 to 20 hours monthly and/or as needed LIBRARIAN $ 5.50 per hour 15 hours weekly ASS'T LIBRARIAN $ 5.00 per hour 5 Hours weekly WATER, SEWER & STREET SUPERINTENDENT $ 9.92 per hour 40 Hours weekly PART-TIME WATER & SEWER HELP $ 7 . 00 per hour as needed _ART-TIME UNSKILLED LABOR $ 3.75 per hour as needed Overtime hours shall be paid for at one and half times the hourly rate for the job performed. (Overtime meaning time over 40 hours per week) Employees may request compensatory hours within a pay period in place of overtime pay. Compensatory hours shall be one and one-half hours for each hour overtime. City Clerk and Water & Sewer Superintendent shall be paid for the following Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, j Christmas and Good Friday. City Clerk will be allowed 3 personal days per year and the W & S Superintendent shall be allowed 3 personal days per year. i The personal days may be accumulated. City Clerk shall be allowed 108 hours i paid vacation, W & S Superintendent shall be allowed 120hours paid vacation.
