SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING 4/7 /87 7 P. M. �
FAIRFAX CITY HALL
JOINT MEETING WITH PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE
FOR DISCUSSION ON UPDATING THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF FAIRFAX.

by Balog, 2nd Cerveny. Carried.

Special Council meeting held 4/7/87, in conjunetionith the P & Z committee.
Mayor Peters presiding, Council present Balog, Cervery & Shakespeare. P & Z
Chairman Stockton, P & Z Members, Patterson, Hartman, Panek, Stallman, Harover,
also present. Paul Evans from East Central Iowa Council of Government spoke
to the group on the Cities Comprehensive Plan.
No official business was conducted.

Special City Council meeting held 4/30/87 . Mayor Charles Peters
presiding . Council present : Balog, Cerveny, Bach, Bullock and
Shakespeare .
Purpose of meeting : Memorandum of Agreement and building permit .
On motion of Bullock, 2nd Bach Memorandum of Agreement between the
City of Fairfax, Kenneth 0. & Mary Katherine. Selzer and Iowa Fund, Inc
approved and Mayor given authority to sign same, with two minor changes
being made . Carried. Ayes : Bach, Bullock, Balog, Cerveny & Shakespeare,
Brays : None . Absent : None
Building permit for garage present to council by Tim Fairlie . Permit
did not meet side yard regulations . Permit to be referred to the
Board of Review for their consideration.
Motion to adjourn made at 7 : 0PiI by Shakespeare, 2nd Balog. Carried

Informational meeting of the Cit?r Council , Fire Department and represent-
atives of the Fairfax. Township Trustees , held following the Special
Council meeting. Steven Mason from Cedar Rapids presented a video
film on fire departments . Meeting adjourned at 10 : 07 PM
