Ordinance 138 , amending Flood Plain Ordinance 117 5 . Discussion with possible action on the following correspondence : a. Iowa DOT, b . Mercy--St Lukes Mobile Blood Bank, c . IBM d. Chicago NW Railroad, e . Kirkwood Flood Plain mangement meeting. 5 . Set time for Council to tour Norand building. 7 . Discussion with possible action on sewer and storm sewer projects . 8 . Discussion of Clean alp Day and naming councilperson in charge of volunteers . 9 . Fir. Ron Gillund , discussion with council on volunteer annexation of his property. 10. Permission for Western. Tank & Tower to install new wiring to the light on the top of the water tower . 11 . Discussion with -possible action on city joining the Iowa 2000 Association 12 . Discussion with possible action in regard to special meeting held With Fire Department. 13 . Discussion of how remaining money in the Revenue Sharing Fund would be distributed . 14 , Discussion of liey Dey plans 15 .. A.ppra-�ral of bills lb . Opportun=ity for citizens not on the adgenda to address the council . 17 .. Adjournment , Regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held 5/ 7 /87 . Mayor-pro- tem Bryan Balog presiding. Council present : Balog, Bach & Cerveny. Absent : Mayor Peters , Councilmembers , Shakespeare & Bullock. Liquor permit for Handy Mart and the beer permit for the American Legion Hey Deys approved on motion of Cerveny 2nd Balog, Carried. Building permit for R. Divisek approved on motion of Cerveny, 2nd Balog Carried. Clerk noted that Board of Review will meeting 5/12/87 in regard to F'airlie building permit . City Council to tour Norand EMC Test Lab at 6 : 310PM on 6/4/87 . Regular Council meeting scheduled for that evening will begin at 7 : 30 instead of 7 : 00 PM. Ordinance 138 to be put on adgenda for the June 4th council meeting. Information given council on correspondence from DOT in reference to signing on Highway 30 by-puss and 1380, Mercy-St Lukes Mobile blood unit will be at St Patricks Auditorium on May 27 from 4PM to 8PM, Chgo NW transportation has a turn of century map of Fairfax in their Boone office-Will be picked up and framed for display. Discussion on Clean-Up-Day held . Ron Dusil to be in charge of crew of volunteers . Mr . Ron Gillund discussed with Council the possiblity of annexing his property into the city limits . Council advised him to again contact teh County in regard to his subdivision and Clerk to contact County in regard to the annexation of a small portion of Cemetery Road and report back at next council meeting. Discussion of the installation of new wiring to light on Water Tower., Mr Bill Gibney offered to contact two local companies who might be interested in doing the job . Action on city joining the Iowa 2000 program to be added to the adgenda for the .June 4th .Council meeting. A special council meeting will be held on May 21st with the members of the Fire Department to discuss bylaws , training,, operating procedures, Notices to be sent to all fire department members . On motion of Cerveny, 2nd Bach 433 . 80 of Revenue Sharing money is to be given to the library for the purchase of large print books . Prices are to be gotten on wind screens for tennis court and picnic table frames and then final decision will be made to close out the RevenueSharing Account at the June 4th Council meeting. The plans for the American Legion Hey Deys on June 19 and 20th will be approximately the same as last year. On motion of Cervey, 2nd Bach payment approved for bills presented. Carried . There being no further business meeting adjourned at 9PM on motion of Bach, 2nd Cerveny. Carried .
