PURPOSE OF MEETING : Award contract for Wastewater treatment Lagoon
Improvement Project . Hereafter known as "Project"
.Council present, Bach, Balog, Cerveny & Shakespeare . Absent : Bullock
Mayor Peters presiding.
Mayor Peters opened public hearing on Purpose plans & Specification.
for "Project"
Hearing no objections Mayor Peters closed public hearing at 7 : 35PM
Councilman Shakespeare moved the adoption of Resolution 7987 "Approving
plans and specifications for"Pr-oject" 2nd Cerveny. Voting aye
Bach, Balog, Cerveny & Shakespeare, Nay None Absent : Bullock
On motion of Cerveny 2nd. Bach, Mayor and City Clerk to proceed
with opening of bids . Carried All voting aye .

Taylor Construction , New Vienna, Iowa 238 , 821 . 00
Steger-Heiderscheit , Dyersville , Iowa 228 , 864 . 70
Midstate Construction, Springville, la 201 , 869 . 70

Re;solution7987A AWARD CONTRACT FOR "PROJECT" be approved on motion
of Shakespeare , 2nd Cerveny awarding contract to Dave Schmidt Construction
Company of Cedar Rapids , Iowa . Voting Aye Balog, Bach, Cerveny
& Shakespeare . NAys : None Absent Bullock
Addition to adgena : On motion of Cerveny 2nd Balog, Prairie Roadbuilders
to do street work as per schedule with the exception of Losey Street.
Carried. All voting Aye.
On motion of Bach, 2nd Balog meeting ajourned at 9 : 30 PM.

Fairfax City Council met in Special Session on duly 20, 1987 at
6 : 45PM. Council present Balog, Mayor pro-tem,, Shakespeare ,
Bullock, Cerveny Absent Mayor Peters , & Bach.
Purpose of meeting: Signing of contracts and approval of performance
& payment bonds .
On motion of Cerveny, 2nd Bullock Resolution #72087 "APPROVING
CONTRACT, PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT BONDS" was approved .Roll call
vote. Aye ' s Balog, Shakespeare, Cerveny & Bullock. Nays none
Absent Bach.
Meeting adjourned at 7 : OOpm on motion. of Cerveny 2nd Shakespeare
