Absent Bullock & Cerveny. Minutes of previous meeting approved on motion of Balog, .2nd Bach. Budget & Financial reports approved and placed on file . Receipts to be accounted for as follows : General Acct . $6 , 414 . 14, RUT fund : 2 , 283 . 63, Library T&A 250 . 00 , Water Dept : 2, 106 , 29 , Sewer Dept : 3 , 720 . 42 , Project Funds : 11, 702 . 18 . Mayor Peters opened Public Hearing on Rezoning request . No objectors or objections received by mail . Mayor closed hearing at 7 : 18 PM 1st Reading of Ordinance 144 "Rezoning ordinance amendment" approved on motion of Shakespeare, 2nd Bach. Carried. Building permit for Russ & Maxine Meeks approved on motion of Bach, 2nd Balog . Carried. Councilman Balog to check on street light request for the corner of Stallman Drive and Cemetery Road W. Update and discussion held on progress of Lagoon Project . Construction bills were not available for payment . They will be handled at the November meeting. On motion of Shakespeare 2nd Balog, Mayor Peters given permission to sign all necessary papers from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in regard to the Water main extension and the sewer main replacement . Carried. Al]_ voting Aye. Discussion held on Storm Sewer project for Park and Linn Street . Letter to be sent to all property owners in this regard . Public Hearing and Bid letting for project will be held on October 29 , 1987 at 7 PM. Depending on weather conditions this project may not be started until spring of 1988 on motion of Shakespeare 2nd Balog t.r%c.F:'r On motion of Bach, 2nd Balog, City Clerk given permission to attend Iowa Finance Officers meeting in Des Moines . City Hall will be closed z day Oct 21 and all day Oct 22 . Carried. All voting aye . Ron Gillund, owner of 14 acres on Cemetery Road has request voluntary annexation into the City of Fairfax limits . ]Ginn County is also agreeable to voluntary annexation of the North side of Cemetery Road within the City limits . On motion of Balog, 2nd Bach, Annexation. proceeds to start and public hearing be held . Carried. All voting aye . On motion of Bach 2nd Balog all bills present fear payment aproved . Carried . No further business meeting adjourn at 8 : 20 PM on motion of Shakespeare, 2nd Bach . Carried.
