ADJOURNMENT d�,lce r ewta n--7- -�7 9:00-4:30 Regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held at 7 : OOPM on June 12, 1990 . Mayon Nading presiding. Council present : Bullock, Cerveny, Hastings & Svoboda. Quillen absent. Motion to approve the agenda as posted , minutes of previous meeting budget & financial reports made by Hastings , 2nd Svoboda . Carried. Discussion held with Jim Novak of Novak Design in regard to the Agreement to be signed by the City with Novak Design for the Architectural work on the new Library. On Motion of Svoboda, 2nd Cerveny, Contract to signed for Novak Designs services on the construction of the new Libary. Carried. All Ayes . Don Young, Ralph Emanuel & Bud Burger, representatives of the Little League Ball teams and the "Town" team discussed several areas to be considered in the next buget for improvements at the park. They felt that the backstop on the big diamond did not need to be replaced at this time. Gilbert Lefebure, Hey Dey Chairman, discussed the final plans and locations of several events of the. American Legion HeyDey celebration with the Council . Cigarette permits were approved for Bobs Meats , Star Hotel and the Handimart on motion of Svoboda, 2nd Cerveny. Carried . Ron Andrle attended meeting to discuss a drainage problem in his and several of his neighbors back yards . Mayor Nading & Councilmember Svoboda will check into the situtation and report back to Council . In order to determine how many Handicap parkings spaces need to be marked, the Council on motion of Svoboda, 2nd Cerveny has designated the dity' s "Business district" as Vanderbilt street from Church Street to Railroad street . Two percent of the parking spaces must be signed as ""Handicap Parking" . Carried. All voting aye. On motion of Cerveny, 2nd Svoboda an "Honorariums of $350 . 00 to be 'given to Jinx. Duggan for time he donated to city painting the "Fairfax" billboard. Carried. Voting . Aye : _ Cerveny, Svoboda & Hastings . Abstain : Bullock Motion by Svoboda to charge Mr. T. Johnson for engineering on water runoff problem on Cemetery Road West . Dies for lack of second . Hasting made motion that city pickup the cost of the City Engineer for the runoff probelm. 2nd Cerveny. Carried., Frank Scott, Prairie Roadbuilders representative , attendd meeting with report of street repair inspection by himself, Councilman Svoboda and Ron. Dusil . On motion of Svoboda, 2nd Cerveny, work to be done as recommended . Carried. All voting aye Resolution 61290 "ATTACH UNPAID UTILITY BILLS AS SPECIAL ASSESSMENT'll introduced on motion of Cerveny 2nd Svoboda. Carried. All voting aye . On motion of Mastings 2nd Cerveny bill presented for payment approved and City Clerk given permission to pay any bills that are within the budget and received before the end - of the Fiscal Year (June 30) . Carried. All voting Aye Maintenanceman Dusil to check all drains at Fire station and City Hall to make sure they are not draining on ajoining property. Jim Meyers inquired of the City Council the zoning of Lot 1 Kurtz lst addition and the size of the house to be built on Lot 7 Marion Johnsons lst addition. Mayor Nading assured him that Council would keep an eye on what type of business went into the new building slated to be built on Lot 1 of Kurtz addition.
