Ad ournMent Regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held September 10 , 1990 at Fairfax Clty Hall. Mayor Nading presiding. Council present : Bullock, Cerveny, Hastings, Quillen. Absent Svoboda. Motion to approve agenda as posted, minutes of previous meeting, budget & financial reports made by Quillen, 2nd Cerveny. Carried., Mayor Nading opened public hearing on budget amendment as 7 : 05PM. Hearing no objection and receiving no objects Mayor Nading closed Public Hearing at 7 : 10PM. RESOLUTION 91090 "BUDGET AMENDMENT" presented by Cerveny, 2nd Bullock Roll Call vote . Ayes : Bullock, Cerveny, Hastings , Quillen. Nay: None Absent Svoboda. Liquor permit for new owners of- the Star Hotel_ & Livery, Gary & Relda Dywer and Cigarette permit. : was approved on motion of 'Cerveny, 2nd Quillen. Carried.. RESOLUTION 91090A "RE-ESTABLISH CAPITAL EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT FUND" (A five year plan) was presented for a approval by Cerveny, 2nd Hastings . Roll Call: vote . Ayes Bullock, Cerveny, Hastings, Quillin Nays : None . Absent Svoboda. Councilmember Cerveny as chairman of the Tree Committee report that the application for a match grant from I . E . and Trees forever has been sent in. Awarding of grants will be made October 15th. Letter of resignation from his council position was received from Ludwig Svoboda. On motion of Bullock, 2nd Cerveny was accepted with regrets . Council expressed their thanks to Mr Svoboda for his service to the city council . On motion of Cerveny, 2nd Hastings, City Clerk given permission to attend the Iowa Municipal Finance Officers meeting in Des Moines October 17 , 18 &19 . Carried. All voting aye... RESOLUTION 91090B "AMENDING SALARY RESOLUTION 31490" was presented by Hastings 2nd Bullock. Carried . All voting aye . Mayor Nading announced that Ludwig Sbovoda has been hired for- the City Maintence position, to replace Ron Dusil . A committe consisting of Mayor Nading, Councilmembers Quillen & Bullock reviewed all applications and did the interviewing to fill this position. Mayor Nading ..will contact Mr . Paul Whitters in an attempt to finish UP the title work on land that new storm sewer ditch is located. ,-.--- On motion of Hastings , 2nd Cerveny, City Clerk to be appointed voting delegate for the City of Fairfax at the Iowa League of Municipalities Convention. RESOLUTION 9/10/90 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, IOWA FOR THE F/Y 90-91 k BE IT RESOLVED : [ Section 1 . The following named position shall be paid the wages indicated and City Clerk is authorized to issue checks , 1_ess legally required or authorized dedulctions from the amounts set out below, and make contributions to Ipers and F'ica or other purposes as required by law or order of the City Council , all subject to audit or review by the City Council . WATER, SEWER & STREET SUPT. BASE RATE $8 . 00 Per hour BASIC HOURS 40 hours I OVERTIME HOURS $1.2 . 00 per hour INSURANCE : Blue Cross/Blue Shield Protector200. The City shall be responsible for the first 500 . 00 each year.(Single policy) UNIFORMS The City shall provide a $250. 00 per year uniform allowance. HOLIDAYS New Years, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Day before Christmas and Christmas . SICK DAYS Four per year and may accumulate up to 30 days . PERSONAL DAYS Two per year. Must be used.
