Ndding presiding. Council present : Cervey, Bullock & Quillin. Absent
Hastings .
Purpose of meeting : To open bids for construction of the Fairfax
Public Library.
Five bids were received, opened and placed on file . Gene Larson
Construction Base Bid $406, 888 , Staub Const Base Bid $491 , 583 ,
Un eitig Const . Base bid $429 , 000, Loomis Brothers Base Bid $452, 800,
and Garling Construction Base Bid $394, 000 .
On motion of Cerveny 2nd Quillin Resolution #91790 present for
approval and Council recessed until 5 : 30PM on 9/20/90 in order to
receive the Library Board' s recommendations . Carried. All voting
aye .

Discussion held on the alternates to the base bid of the contractors .
Dfie .to the fact that the grant papers have not been received from
the State Library Board no action could be taken on the awarding of
a contract .
On motion of Cerveny, Council to recess meeting until 5 : 30 PM
on September 28, 1990 . 2nd Hastings . Carried.
