Fairfax City Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday January 12th. at 7 : 00 pm, Mayor ading presiding . All Council members present . Notion of Quillin , 2nd Cerveny, the Agenda, Previous Minutes , Budget and Financial Reports were approved , Maintanence discussion: The level of chlorine in the City water . There were several complaints that there is to much chlorine in the water , The Mayor to discuss it with the maintanence man, Third and final reading of Ordinance 177 , amending the City NO PARKING ZONES, Motion of Cerveny, 2nd Sheely the Ordinance was, approved and placed in effect as provided by law, A letter from Gary Stockton, chairman of Planning and Zoning not to be reappointed to the zoning board, Motion of Cerveny, 2nd Neuhaus to approve building permit for a single family house at 519 Front St . MC The F .A. T . Committee will hold there Pancake Breakfast on March 7th, at St . Patrick" s Church, City Clark was instructed to contact the City Engineer to check the Sanitary Sewer System with the possiblity of new construction on Linn Street in the future , The City Engineer is also to do a check of all exsisting sidewalks in Fairfax , and make a report to the Council as to which. sidewalks need to be repaired. The City Clerk was instructed to contact Cedar Rapids for a copy of their Building Code . Sheryl Dostal was appointed by the Library Board to fill the vacancy of Children' s Librarian, Motion of Sheely, 2nd Neuhaus to approve bills presented , MC Clerk will contact Cox Cable to request price quotes for cable to FAirfax . Discussion held with the deputy Sheriff about entorcing all regulations in Fairfax ,. No further business motion of Sheely , 2nd Neuhaus meeting adjourned at 8 : 35 p , m.
