We had a young boy mow our grass yesterday, about 5:30"he tells us while rnowing between the yards and
i-o the tall grass he..mowed over a black cable and broke it. I called Starwest and got a response at 900 this
morning, Tracing the cable I saw it strong over clotheslines, around garages and down lot lines and just
lying on top of the ground° I then talked to a neighbor and she said it had been this way for several
months,
During this pbone call I asked about Showtirne and was told the change come Dg the tarns was
permanent,I then asked her to cancel our showtiffw. She told.rue that I could only drop it on the first of the
month, My response was it was only the first week of the month and why should I have to keep A for
another 3 weeks when I didn't want to subscribe to it any longer. She then told me it was their rules and
regulations. I also asked about them getting HBO and she told rre that they were picking nP several more
stations including HBO and her response to when was that she didn't know because they serviced the
larger towns first. I argued with her about this because Fairfax may be -small but we still are chaiged aDd
pay the same as everyone else including the larger towns, Now I know why the cable has laid on the
ground and not been buried for monfhs,We'-te not on their priority list.
We pay for cable and it's off several tunes a-moutb (as it is today) and when I called several months ago
and asked for an adjusunent on out state at I got a fun-around, We pay for a month of cable/showlime
and receive 27-28 days,T his jusL doesn't seem like good customer service to rue.
Starwest called me back after about 15 rninutes and I was told that I had to give St2rwest a 30 day notice to
drop showtime because it was it rules and.regulations and when I asked to gee this in writing (as per
custofnef contract)she said I sho:nld have been told this when they first connected ahe cable,We are one of
the original ones in Fairfax to get hooked up and from that droe until now, never have f seen any
rulesifegulations issued by Starwest, only the monthly statements.
I any very dissatisfied with thisconmpauy and would like to see a more reliable corr)PmY take iVs place of
have another cable company also in towfa and let us choose the one we'd be more satisfied.with.
Thank You,
Ploy Stockton
