Notice of Abatement of Vechicles - Russ Carver . 6 . St . Patricks Church requests to cross Church and Park Streets with Electric wires to light the steeple . 7 . Reappointments: Planning and Zoning -- Harry Stallman, Larry McNeal. Board of Adjustment - Merle Hastings . E911 Board - Gary Stockton. Hall, and Hall - City Engineer . 8 . Set up Budget Meetings , 9 . Opportunity for Citizens not on the Agenda. 10 . Approval of Bills presented. 11. Adjournment . CITY OF FAIRFA: Fairfax City Council met on Tuesday January 10 , 1995 at 7 .. 00 P.M. Mayor Sheely called the meeting to order, with Council members Neuhaus , Root, Shakespeare and Wainwright in attendance . Stallman absent . Motion by Neuhaus , 2nd Wainwright to approve the Agenda , Minutes of December meeting, Clerk' s Budget and Financial Reports . MC. Sheriff ' s department was questioned about the snowmobiles going through the city, and what needs to be done to prohibit them from traveling on private property. Librarian presented the Council with a copy of the Budget for 95/96 . Shakespeare will meet with the librarian and will bring her report to the Council .. Maintenance reports -- Motion by Shakespeare , 2nd Root , Lud will attend IAMU Water Operators Safety & Training Workshop, and the Lagoons Course . MC. Permission to remove the tree on Church street at their convenience. Fire Chief - the Fire Department is looking for a Rescue Van . St. Patrick' s Church requested permission for IES to put wires across Park and Church Sts . to light the Steeple, motion by Neuhaus, 2nd Wainwright to approve the request . MC . Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Neuhaus for the Mayor to sign the papers for South Slope to bury phone cable . MC. Clerk to check with TES about. putting more light on the West side of St .. Patrick' s Church along Park Street , Motion by Shakespeare, 2nd Wainwright to reappoint for a 5 year term on Planning and Zoning Harry Stallman and Larry McNeal . Merle Hastings for a 5 year term on the Board of Adjustment . MC. Motion by Shakespeare , 2nd Neuhaus to reappoint Gary Stockton to the E911 Board, and to reappoint Hall and Hall as the City Engineers . MC . Since several complaints have been received about garbage collection, the City Clerk will contact Steelsmith Sanitation and request Mr . Steelsmith to attend the February Council Meeting.. Fairfax, Iowa 52228 RE: Trailer and Truck--Notice to Abate Nuisance Dear Mr. Carver: You are hereby notified to either abate the nuisance on your property or file written request for a hearing on whether you must abate said nuisance within 14 days from service of this notice upon you. If you request a hearing, the request should be addressed to the undersigned city official. The nuisance an your property consists of the truck and trailer left on your property and extending onto public property and shall be abated by its removal to the inside of a building or to a proper disposal site. In the event you fail to either (1) abate or cause to be abated the above-described nuisance as directed or (2) file a written request for a hearing within 14 days from the date this notice is served upon you, the City of Fairfax shall take such steps as are necessary to abate the nuisance and the costs shall be assessed against you as provided by the Codes of Fairfax and the State of Iowa.
