The Fairfax City Council met on Monday February 13 , 1995 , at
7 : 00 p .m. Mayor Sheely, Council members Wainwright and Stallman.
Abs , Neuhaus , Shakespeare and Root . With no quorum the meeting was
rescheduled for Monday February 20 , 1995 at 7 : 00 p. m.
The Fairfax City Council met on Monday February 20 , 1995 at 7' : 05
p .m. Mayor Sheely presiding with Council Members Wainwright,
Stallman and Root . Absent Neuhaus and Shakespeare .
Mayor Sheely opened the Public Hearing on the 95/96 Fiscal
Budget , and Preliminary and Final Plat of Pine Grove First Addition
to Fairfax . D. Zenisek requested information on the budget . No
further discussion Stallman made a motion to close the Public
Hearing 2nd by Wainwright . MC .
Mayor Sheely then called the meeting to order . Motion by
Wainwright , 2nd Stallman to approve the agenda, Minutes of the
January Meeting, Clerk' s Budget and Financial reports . MC.
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Stallman to approve Resolution
022095A, Plat of Pine Grove First Addition to Fairfax . MC.
Don Klies , Prairie Roadbuilders , presented a proposal for the
street work this summer. Motion by Wainwright, 2nd Root to sign the
contract with Prairie Roadbuilders . MC ..
Fire Chief Sankot presented a new member, Travis Minshall for
approval . Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Stallman. MC . Chief also
discussed the new By-Laws , and the Firemen ' s benefit dance to be
held March 25th at the Fairfax Legion .
Motion by Root , 2nd Wainwright to approve the Street Light
Resolution to install a street light on Park Street , at the rear of
St . Patrick' s Church , MC ,
Motion by Stallman, 2nd Wainwright to approve RESOLUTION 022095 ,
Budget for Fiscal Year 95/96 . MC.
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Stallman to approve the bills for
payment . MC .
H. McCormick was present to discuss the proposed rail spur in
Fairfax . Further information will be given when it becomes
available .
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Stallman to adjourn at 8 : 00 p. m, MC .

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
JUNE 30 , 1996
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 01' FAIRFAX , IOWA-
The Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30 , 1996, as
set forth in the Adopted Budget Summary, and in the. Detailed Budget
in support thereof, showing the Revenue Estimates , and
Appropriation Expenditures and Allocations , to Programs and
Activities for said Fiscal Year is adopted, and the Clerk is
directed to make the filings required by Law, and to set the books
in accordance with the Summary and Details as adopted.

Fairfax Iowa, at a (special) (regular) meeting held on

Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Fairfax Iowa, that Iowa
Electric Light and Power Company is hereby directed to make the following changes to the
existing system, at the locations described herein (or shown on an attached map made a part
of this Resolution) according to tlhe terms expressed in the existing street light contract:

RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT
WHEREAS, a Plat of PINE GROVE FIRST ADDITON IN THE CITY
OF FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY, IOWA, containing Lots 1, 2 , 3 , 41 51 61
7 , 8 , and 9 has been filed with the City Clerk and after consid-
eration of the same is found to be correct and in accordance with
the provisions of the laws of the State of Iowa and the ordinanc-
es of the City of Fairfax, Iowa, in relation to Plats and Addi-
tions to Cities,
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, IOWA, that the said Plat and dedications of said PINE
GROVE FIRST ADDITON IN THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, LINN COUNTY, IOWA,
containing Lots 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6, 7 , 8 , and 9 , be and the same
are hereby acknowledged and approved on the part of the City of
Fairfax, Iowa, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed
to certify this Resolution of Approval and affix the same to said
Plat as by law provided.
