CITY OF FAIRFAX
The Fairfax City Council met on Tuesday June 13 , 1995 , Mayor
Sheely called the meeting to order at 7' , 05 p . m. Council members
present Neuhaus , Stallman and Wainwright . Absent Shakespeare and
Root .
Motion by Neuahus , 2nd Wainwright to approve the agenda , minutes
of the May meeting , clerk' s budget and financial reports . MC .
Sheriff ' s department was represented by Capt . Yount . Questions
were raised over the traffic going thru town with the construction
on Hwy 151 , and ways to curb it .
Maintenance report : Discussion on the storm sewer project for
vanderbilt street . Hall & Hall will be contacted to shoot the grade
and then we will contact several construction companies for bids ,
before the July meeting , We will contact Prairie Roadbuilders and
have them delay working on the streets till the Hwy construction
thru town is finished . Discussion with Sam Otis on a project for
his Eagle Scout Award , Discussion was held on the extra traffic
thru town, parents are requested to watch their children , and keep
them safe .
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Stallman to approve the building
permit for Progressive Homes , for a house on Front Street . Ayes
Wainwright and Stallman, Nay Neuhaus .
Pat Slater gave a brief rundown on Fairfax USA Days . Motion by
Wainwright , 2nd Neuhaus the City will pay approximately $180 , 001 .

Motion by Neuhaus , 2nd Wainwright to appove appointment of Ken
Patrick to the Fairfax Fire Department . MC,
Discussion with LeRoy Morgan on the park at the end of Front
Street . He will try to form a citizens committee to worli, out a plan
for the Park and then bring it to the Council for approval .
Motion by Neuhaus , 2nd Wainwright to approve the Cigarette
permits for the Handi Mart , and the Star Hotel & Livery . MC .
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Neuhaus to approve Resolution 0613',95 ,
requesting an Audit for F/Y 94-95 . MC,
The City Clerk will attend Continuing Education in July , motion
by Neuhaus , 2nd Wainwright . MC .
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Neuhaus to pay all. incoming bills
before the end of the F/Y . MC .
Motion by Neuhaus , 2nd Wainwright to pay bills presented , MC .
Motion by Wainwright , 2nd Neuhaus to adjourn at 9 : 05 p . m ,
