CITY OF FAIRF'A
The Fairfax City Council met on Tuesday August 12 , 1997 . Mayor
Pro Tem Mark Neuhaus called the meeting to order at 7 . 03 p.m.
Council members present Stallman, Shakespeare and Wainwright.
Absent Mayor Sheely and Councilman Harville.
Motion by Stallman to approve the Agenda, Minutes of the duly
Council meeting, Clerk' s Budget and Financial Reports . 2nd
Wainwright . MC.
Don Kleis, Prairie Roadbuilders asked for a council decision on
the streets . Motion Stallman, 2nd Wainwright to approve the
recommendation of Prairie Roadbuilders estimate , but removal of the
Firestation Drive and City Hall lot from the bid. MC.
Building Permits Motion Stallman, 2nd Shakespeare to approve the
permit of Russ Carver to build a ramp and landing on Mildred
Carver' s home . MC. Motion Wainwright , 2nd Shakespeare to approve
the permit of Fairfax Greenhouses for a new building. MC.
Tom Drzycimski, BCIGOG discussed Planned Unit Development . Motion
Shakespeare, 2nd Stallman to approve the Service Agreement with
ECIGOG to draw up a PUD, not to exceed $148. 00 . MC.
Librarian discussed the newsletter with the Council . The Council
decided that the newsletter will continue to go to all Fairfax Post
Office addresses..
Maintenance ; Discussion on Christmas Decorations, new park.
Quotes will be obtained and presented to the Council at the
September meeting.
RESOLUTION 081297 - RUT Annuual Report. Motion Stallman, 2nd
Shakespeare to approve the Report . MC.
The City Clerk will get some pricing and information for a new
computer for City hall.
The Clerk will send a letter to the Richard Ray residence about
the vehicles parked in the yard. They will be given 30 days to
remove them or they will be towed at their expense . The maintenance
men will check on Rustfree and Vance Storage on storage problems .
Motion Wainwright,, 2nd Shakespeare to approve the bills presented
for payment . MC.
No further discussion Stallman made a motion to adjourn at 8. 38
p.m. , 2nd Shakespeare . MC.
