Pay Caldwell Tanks,and remaining bills presented 15. Adjournment. RESOLUTION NO 2000-03-14 RESOLUTION TO SPECIFY THE USE OF ADDITIONAL TAX CREDIT REIMBURSEMENT. WHEREAS,House File 726,as passed by the 77"'General Assembly and signed into law May 15, 1997, by the Governor,rewires the State of Iowa to fully fund the homestead, military and elderly property tax credits:and WHEREAS, the law requires that at least 50 percent of the additional reimbursement will be used toward property tax relief as determined by the City and the remaining amount will be used for infrastructure needs or additional property tax relief and WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax will receive an estimated$1,855 in additional credit reimbursement for property tax relief, and WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that using 50 percent for property tax relief,and remaining amount will used for infrastructure needs, and WHEREAS,the tax levy fbr the 1999-2000 budget has been certified and cannot be changed, for according to the Iowa Department of Management, recertification is not feasible THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. Pan , Clerk RESOLUTION 00-03-14-1 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF F'AIRFAX FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 200012001. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FAIRFAX,IOWA: Section 1. The following positions named shall be paid the salaries or wages-indicated and(lie City Clerk is authorized to issue checks,less legally required or authorized deductions from the amounts set out below,and make such contributions to 1PER'S,FICA and other purposes as required by law, or order of the City Council,all subject to audit and/or review by the City Council. CITY CLERK: $10.35 per hour—KT,W,&F.(32 Office Hours and 4 non-office hours.) LIBRARIAN: $9.35 per hour 23 Ins.per week. CHILDREN'S LIBRARIAN:$6.50 per hour A 13 hrs.per week. SATURDAY HELP: $5.85 per hour A 3 hrs.per week. MAINTENANCE MEN:$12.43 per hour A 40 hours per week. ASST. CITY CLERK: $5,000 maximum per year. PART TIME MAINTENANCE: $10,000 maximum par year. Section 2. OVERTII M. Any time over the regular hours shall be taken off during the pay period as Regular time. Section 3. The city shall provide the Clerk and Maintenance men with Wellmark(Blue Cross)insurance. the City shall be responsible for the$500 deductible.(Single Policy Only.) Section 4. The Clerk and Maintenance(2)(full time) shall be paid for the following Holidays: NEW YEAR'S DAY, GOOD FRIDAY,MEMORIAL DAY,e OF JULY,LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING,DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS EVE DAY AND CHRISTMAS. Section 5. The Clerk and Maintenance Men shall be allowed four(4)sick days per year,sick days may be Accumulated up to tlritty(30)days.They shall be allowed three(3)Bereavement Days per year For immediate family members only. (Spouse, Children,Parents,Brothers, Sisters,and in-laws. They may not be accumulated.After five(5)consecutive sick days,at the discretion of the Mayor,a doctors verification may be requested. Section 6. Vacation Schedule: Forty(40)hours after one year,eighty(80)hours after three years and 120 hours after seven years. PASSED THE 14 TH Day of March,2000 AND APPROVED ON THE SAME DATE. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to deposit the City of Fairfax funds in amounts not to exceed two million dollars ($2,000,000.00).
