HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-23-2008 Special Meeting FAIRFAX CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 23,2008 A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held Tuesday, September 23, 2005, at Fairfax City Hall at 6:00 PM. Mayor Voss presided. Council members present: Beer, Frieden, Magers, Wainwright. Council member Rabe arrived at 6:05 PM. Absent: None. Others present: Larry Burger, Dick Ransom, Shane Wicks, Cathy Bayne, Nancy Flickinger, and Dave Yanccek. Magers moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Beer, Roll call vote: Ayes: Beer, Frieden, Magers, Wainwright.Nays: None. Absent: Rabe. Motion carried. Frieden moved to approve von Essen Galerie sign permit, seconded by Magers. Roll call vote: Ayes: Beer, Frieden, Magers, Wainwright. Nays: None. Absent: Rabe. Motion carried. Magers moved to approve purchase of fence(s)for lagoon From D&N Fence for $2,950, seconded by Wainwright. Roll call vote: Ayes; Beer, Frieden, Magers, Wainwright. Nays:None. Absent: Rabe, Motion carried. Council member Rabe arrived at 6;05 PM. Larry Burger led a discussion on City finances and possible funding options for short and long term capital projects.. Wainwright moved to fix a date for a Public Hearing on a loan agreement in a principal amount not to exceed $1,000.,000 for Tuesday, October 14, 2005, at 7:00 PM, seconded by Magers. Roll call vote: Ayes: Beer, Frieden, Magers, Rabe, Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
