SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 27,2008
A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held Monday, October 27, 2008, at Fairfax
City Hall at 6:00 PM. Mayor Voss presided. Council members present: Frieden, Magers, Rabe,
Wainwright. Absent: Beer. Others present: Dick Ransom, Shane Wicks, Kenneth Arp, Regis
Arp, Tom Arp.
Wainwright moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Magers. Roll call vote: Ayes: Frieden,
Magers, Rabe, Wainwright. Nays None. Motion carried.
Discussion was held on the drainage issue along E Cemetery Road and the use of Arp property
to remedy the situation. The Fairfax City Council is committed to fixing the drainage problem,
and would like to do the project on the east end of the Arp property and see what effect that will
have. Council is not willing to commit to doing the project on the west end of the property
without knowing for sure how much of the problem will be remedied by the project on the east
end. Council agrees that if the east project does not wholly remedy the drainage issue, they will '
do the west project as well. Kenneth, Regis, and Tom Arp will discuss this further among
themselves and come back to Council at a later date with their decision.
There being no further business before the Council, Mayor Voss adjourned at 6:55 PM.
MAYOR: Bill Voss
ATTEST: Vickie Kindl, City Clerk
Disclaimer: The foregoing minutes are not official until approved by Council.
