CITY OF FAIRFAX
WHEREAS, Vernon Frances Cerveny has served the City
of Fairfax for his entire life — as a resident, American
Veteran, City Council member, Library Board President
and Trustee, Fairfax Lions Club member, Knights of
Columbus member, St. Patrick's Catholic Church organist
and member, Linn County Board of Health member, Pipe
Organ Guild member, invaluable local historical resource,
and much more; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax appreciates his years of
dedication.
NOW, THEREFORE, 1, Jason Michael Rabe, Mayor of
the City of Fairfax, on behalf of the Fairfax City Council
and the entire community, do hereby wish Vernon
Frances Cerveny every happiness and blessing and
designate
Thursday, December 17, 2415, as
Vernon Frances Cerveny Day
in the City of Fairfax, Iowa,
Congratulations and thank you Vernon!
