SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
January 24, 2017
The special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held January 24, 2017, at Fairfax city
hall at 300 801h Street Court. Mayor Frieden called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Council
members present: JoAnn Beer, Mike Daly, Joe Kell, and Nick Volk. Marianne Wainwright was
absent. Other city staff present: Cynthia Stimson, Chris Philipp, Lynn Miller, Kevin Stensland,
and Cathy Bayne. Also present were Fire Chief Mike Sankot, Library Board President William
Toner, and City Engineer Shane Wicks.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Volk to approve the consent agenda. Ayes: Beer, Daly,
Kell, and Volk. Nays: None. Absent: Wainwright. Motion carried.
A work session concerning the FY2018 budget was held.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Volk to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Beer, Daly, Kell, and Volk,
Absent: Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Frieden adjourned the meeting at approximately 10:28 PM.
