SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
October 27, 2021
A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held October 27, 2021. In order to
help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, this regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was
held with social distancing. If you would like to participate via a conference call, at least 10

Mayor Frieden called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Councilmembers present in
person: Travis Otto, Mike Daly, Kate Pacha, and Nick Volk. Marianne Wainwright was on the
conference phone.
Motioned by Pacha, seconded by Daly to approve the consent agenda. Ayes: Otto, Daly,
Pacha, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Discussion was held regarding future street plans in the area of K&B Ag Supply. The
agreement protects K&B Ag Supply, by establishing the City will maintain the road by them as a
city street, if in the future it is decided to make the street a dead end. If these plans happen, K&B
Ag Supply will dedicate property for turnarounds.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Otto to approve RESOLUTION NO. 2021-123, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT TO DEDICATE RIGHT-OF-WAY
EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC TURNAROUNDS. Roll call vote: Ayes: Otto, Daly, Pacha,
Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried. Mayor Frieden declared RESOLUTION
2021-123 duly adopted.
Motioned by Volk, seconded by Daly to approve the Commercial Building Permit
Application from K& B Ag Supply, LLC for a scale at 701 Williams Blvd., Fairfax. Ayes: Otto,
Daly, Pacha, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Frieden asked about watering along the Prairie Avenue project. More information
will be gathered before making a decision.
Motioned by Wainwright, seconded by Pacha to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Otto, Daly,
Pacha, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Frieden adjourned the meeting at approximately 6:16 PM.
