SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL M�ETING
1VIay 24, 2022
A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held May 24, 2022. Mayor Frieden
called the ineeting to order at 6:00 PM. Councilinembers present: Tom Nu17-e, Mike Daly, Kate
Pacha, Nick Volk, and Marianne Wainwright.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Pacha to approve the consent agenda. Ayes: Nurre, Daly,
Pacha, Vollc, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Frieden opened up the public hearing at 6:01. JoAnn Beer asked about estimated
interest rate. Daly mentioned that historically it has been low, around 2%. He feels it will be
higher than 2% but no more than 5%. No additional comments have been received by City Hall.
Mayor Frieden closed the public hearing at 6:04.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Wainwright to approve RESOLUTION 2022-54 A
RESOLUTION TAKING ADDITIONAL ACTION ON PROPOSAL TO ENTER INTO A
GENERAL OBLIGATION CORPORATE PURPOSE LOAN AGREEMENT, SETTING
THE DATE FOR SALE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION CORPORATE PURPOSE
BONDS, SERIES 2022 AND AUTHORIZING THE USE Or A PRELIMINARY
OFFICIAI. STAT�MENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. Roll call vote: Ayes: Nurre,
Daly, Paclla, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried. Mayor Frieden declared
RESOLUTION 2022-54 duly adopted.
Lynn Miller inentioned that Consolidated Energy was the only company to place a bid for the
gas tank.
Motioned by Pacha, seconded by Nui-re to accept the bid of $500 fi-om Consolidated Energy
for tl7e gas tank. Ayes: Nurre, Daly, Pacha, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Pacha to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Nurre, Daly, Pacha,
Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Frieden adjourned the ineeting at approximately 6:05 PM.
