SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
November 16, 2024
A special meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held November 16, 2024 at the Fairfax
City Hall. Mayor Jo Ann Beer called the meeting to order at 8:46 AM. Councilmembers present
were: Tom Nurre, Mike Daly, Dan Wozniak, Nick Volk, and Marianne Wainwright.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Nurre to approve the agenda. Ayes: Nurre, Daly, Wozniak,
Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Wainwright to go into closed session according to Iowa
Code 21.5 1. i. To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment,
hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and
irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual requests a closed session.
Ayes: Nurre, Daly, Wozniak, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Wozniak to go back into open session. Ayes: Nurre, Daly,
Wozniak, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motioned by Daly, seconded by Wozniak to adjourn the meeting. Ayes: Nurre, Daly,
Wozniak, Volk, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Beer adjourned the meeting at approximately 12:52 PM.
