The purpose of this program is to increase the number, of books and videos available to the patrons of the Fairfax Library. Any donations will help to offset city funding of our Library. Donations to this program may be made at any time. You may wish to donate the entire cost of a book or video; or you may make a donation of any amount. We ask a minimum donation of $1 .00 . When enough funds from partial donations have been received, the book or video will be purchased. At the time the book or video is received, a donation plate will be attached .to the book or video, naming both the donor and to whom it may be dedicated. There are many different ways you may choose to use the GIVE-A-GIFT Program. Some of these include: To honor a birthday To honor a wedding/anniversary To honor a family member As a memorial To remember a special holiday Currently, prices of hardcover books.. average around $25 .00 . Videos are purchased for approximately $20 .00 . We can get a better price for these items if the Library orders them because some suppliers will offer a discount .
